Widbrook Common, 9 February 2014
The event is open to all residents and local emergency planning professionals. Please book your place by emailing before 14th August.  We can only guarantee a place to those who book in advance.  We will send confirmation of your booking, and joining instructions about a week before the event.

The training will be a tabletop exercise, based around group discussions supported by facilitators.   We will work through several scenarios designed by a former Water Emergency Advisor to government’s COBRA committee with the support of the Environment Agency. The event will also be attended by members of the Joint Emergency Planning Centre (which serves RBWM, Bracknell Forest and West Berks Councils). It’s designed to be fun and sociable, as well as informative.  At the end of the evening you will understand how to offer and find help during a flood or other emergency, and what information to gather and send, and where to send it to get things done.

The training will begin promptly at 18.30 and finish at 21.30.  A cash bar will be open for drinks and bar meals before and after the training from 17.00 to 23.00.
